The Y in Central Maryland is the Lead Agency - The Community School Director in partnership with school leadership and the community school steering committee is responsible for the implementation, integration, alignment, marketing and coordination of school activities, events, programs and services that lead to student achievement, stronger families and healthier neighborhoods. Description of Position
In partnership with the Community School Steering Committee, create and implement the Community School Action Plan, periodic needs assessments and resource mapping for the school, students and the community
Serves as contact person for the school with community partners, ensuring communication between on-site partners and recruiting and communicating with partners outside of the school
Leverage partnerships to address identified issue(s) that impact the school community in the areas of physical & mental health, family support, community engagement, academics/education and youth development
Attend community meetings/events as appropriate
Fulfill all contract requirements to include professional development, reporting, meetings, database management and other deliverables as outlined in scope of work and action plan
Create and manage community school budget with fidelity
Develop marketing materials and create a social media presence on behalf of the school
Serve as member of School Support Team to promote targeted and effective collaboration of service providers and partners
Attend community meetings/events as appropriate to make partnership effective
Provide data and reports as required
Oversees 21stCLCC Out of School Time Program in the absence/vacancy of Assistant Director
