Description of Position
My name is Frank Cutrone and I am the proud Community School Director at the International School for Liberal Arts! As an already active professional in the community, I work on a daily basis to create a foundational environment surrounding academic success for our student and parent population. I solidify links through community partnerships to build and anchor a "power house" Community Learning School! As a former music teacher at P.S.95 in the Bronx for two years together with the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center’s Beacon Program, I learned the true meaning of community and the constant demand for community resources. Interacting with families, educational institutions and organizations as an educator fueled my passion for a higher standard of academic achievement in NYC public schools.

I work closely with a plethora of organizations including the United Federation of Teachers, North West Clergy Coalition, Food Bank For NYC, N.Y.P.D., F.D.N.Y., Y.M.C.A., O.A.C.E., Career Visions, American Red Cross, Good Shepherd Services, Catholic Charities, Department of Education, Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrants Rights, Kingsbridge Merchants Association, MAS Marketing, Hispanic Federation, and the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation among many others. Furthermore, I help empower students and families while providing linkages to college and career readiness programs, ESL courses, mental health, OST and DST programs.
